LCD TV vs Plasma TV

LCD TV's and Plasma TV's are quire similar in terms of features and functionality. For example; most high quality televisions these days, across all HD TV types, will connect to the internet and stream digital content (pictures, music and video) from your PC.  The ultimate question still remains – which TV technology actually views better on the screen?

So what television has better picture quality?

Regardless of the differences in TV technology, in reality, the issue is far less relative to hardware and far more relative to the digital processing software that's actually contained inside the television.

LCD TV's, LED TV's and Plasma TVs have to de-interlace and upscale pictures, instead of scanning the picture directly onto the screen like a CRT TV, they store pictures and place them onto the TV screen frame by frame.  The digital processing software used is integral to the quality of the picture.

Sound quality

Picture quality of TVs has progressively improved over past years, sound has deteriorated. The style and consumer drive for thinner televisions means that there is far less space to manufacture and integrate adequate speakers. You may like to consider purchasing a separate sound system.

Television Energy consumption

Looking at size as one of the primary elements of energy consumption (typically the bigger the TV screen, the more power it uses).  LED TVs are presently the most energy efficient televisions on the market - although some televisions are a little more efficient than others.
